I now wait with bated breath

Carol, my academic advisor, e-mailed me back a while ago, saying she requested a (slot in the) Nutrition class on my behalf. If all goes well, I might not have to go to Spearfish for Fall Semester. The distance between Spearfish and our house is similar to the distance between MANILA and TARLAC. Imagine driving that far THREE TIMES A WEEK on an icy (and very slippery) road. And then imagine having to spend $15 PER DAY for gas.


I now ask for your prayers about this matter. It might not be as "serious" as it may appear, but it is so much better for me to stay here in Rapid City for the next semester. Not only will I prevent adding financial strains to my family, I will also be able to keep myself alive for another semester (which may not be very beneficial to mother earth, actually XD).

I may be able to post an update about this (possibly) tomorrow.

Please pray that I can get a slot for SDSU's Nutrition class. It's not just impractical for me to get into Spearfish thrice a week, it's also dangerous because of the icy roads during wintertime.

Ilang beses na akong tinatanggihan ng subject na ito. Asar na asar na talaga ako. Noong summer, nag-aapply ako, naubusan ako ng slot. Ngayon, nakapag-register ako, kinancel naman yung klase! ANO BA HA?!!!

Ito na lang ang kaisa-isang subject na kailangan ko para makapunta sa nursing!!!!!! Leche naman e! Nakakainis na talaga. Pag ako, di pa nakapag-apply ngayon, wala nakong choice kundi sa Spearfish mag-aral! Eh ISANG ORAS ang layo noon dito sa bahay namin! ISANG ORAS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kamusta naman yun? E di approximately 2 hours per day ako magbibiyahe!!! Tapos THRICE a week pa!!! EXSHOOS ME?! Edi gas palang, ubos na ang budget ko! PLUS, kailangan ko pa niyang i-drop ang iba kong subject! PESTE naman o. Bwisit namang buhay ito. Bat ba lagi na lang akong walang choice?!!!!!!!!!!

I was informed that I don't have to take ELTA in order to get into the major; "TOEFL would be sufficient".

So now everything depends on that TOEFL score. I wonder what would become of me if I don't get the minimum required score.

2. I would have to retake the test

I decided not to leave my job. It's all about the munneh, dood. XD Besides, I think it's unfair that my classmates have jobs while I don't.

Good thing my manager let me change my availability time though. I would have no choice but to quit if I can't change my schedule. I can not and can never sacrifice my studies.

Tapos na ang TOEFL

Ang hiraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap. :( It was NOTHING like those practice tests found in the internet. Since I signed a statement forbidding myself to not disclose any test question to anyone, wala nakong pwedeng ikwento pa. Gutom na din ako, kasi 4 hours yung test, at kanina pang 7:00am ako umalis ng bahay. WAAAH.

Ano kayang nakuha ko?

In other news, nalinis na yung bintana sa kwarto ko. Yay!

I will spend the rest of my day reading To Kill a Mockingbird while eating M&Ms. Nako, eto na naman tayo. :P

TOEFL

I will be taking the TOEFL tomorrow *cries*. SDSU requires a minimum score of 100/120 for a student to get into the nursing proper. That means I am allowed to ONLY 5 "mistakes" per section.

Problem is, I currently have a cold and I sound terrible. I hope that wouldn't count against me in the speaking section. Hey, even native English speakers get clogged noses, ya know.

Gotta go back to my review. :{

The studio, Warner Bros. is blaming the Writers' Strike.

Because of the strike, some of the big 'tentpole' movies they were counting on for Summer 2009 won't be ready, so they'll need HP to get them through next year's big season.

"Like every other studio, we are still feeling the repercussions of the writers strike, which impacted the readiness of scripts for other films-changing the competitive landscape for 2009 and offering new windows of opportunity that we wanted to take advantage of," he said. "We agreed the best strategy was to move 'Half-Blood Prince' to July, where it perfectly fills the gap for a major tent pole release for mid-summer."

Hi.

Well if you're reading this, you already know it's you. I walked into the lab today because of chronic diarrhea, and they called you specifically to take care of my case. You were so cute when you said I had abnormally huge taste buds. When you said you had to have another look at the back of my throat, it was obvious you just wanted to see their freaky fatness once more, and I called you on it. You then turned completely red, and I don't know if it was because of my grossly exaggerated yet founded accusations or because I wasn't wearing a bra and you left me waiting for like 45 minutes in an industrial AC powered office.

You're gonna be growing five different cultures from my stool in the next week and I have no idea, despite all my funk and resourcefulness, how to make the idea of giving me a call after work seem inspiring. Between all these questions you're asking me, all of which are related to my loose bowel movements, and the fact that you could lose your license if you got together with a patient, there is just no way I can slip you my number.

I don't really know what to do. I think I'm gonna try to run into you at the end of your internship at this hospital. I hear if it's not in an office, there is no law to prevent me hitting on you, and you taking it up. If you're not gay that is - cause you sort of give off that kind of vibe too.

But if you're not, where is my highest chance of running into you completely by chance, one morning when I'm not your patient and you're not my hot, out-of-bounds microbiologist?
